Masalah Kulit Keratosis Pilaris

One particular skin disease that can be cured by using VCO is Keratosis Pilaris (KP), a hereditary common skin disease. As KP mainly runs in families, it is not contagious. This skin disease is characterized by rough or spiky skin that resembles goosebumps.

Keratosis pilaris are seldom itchy and appears when extra keratin builds up in the hair follicles. Keratosis pilaris usually appears in the torso, back, buttocks. Some redness may appear around the small spiky bumps. If a plug is pulled off, a fine coiled-up hair may be found inside it.

It is hard to treat Keratsis Pilais a No treatment clears keratosis pilaris satisfactorily, and ordinary emollients (moisturizers) are of limited benefit.

Creams with salicylic acid, lactic acid and/or urea are usually prescribed to treat Keratosis Pilaris. However most treatments fail to get rid of KP permanently and can only give average benefits.

For those who suffer from Keratosis Pilaris, one alternative treatment that they can try is virgin coconut toil (VCO).

Using a loofah, you can lather VCO on your skin before you take a shower. You can still scrub the VCO on your body while taking a bath using an all natural cleansing bar.

After shower, rub the coconut oil all over your body as a lotion and moisturizer. Do this everyday to achieve positive results.
